24 March 2020
- Updated on 7 April
The impact of COVID-19/coronavirus on the health and wellbeing of the UK's population and economy is already being felt, with the situation likely to continue for weeks and months to come.
It is important to remember that there is support available for businesses and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulty as a result of the disruption. In this post, we'll be collating links to where you can access business support schemes or sources of advice for individuals.
We have also collated advice for directors on steps they can take to safeguard their businesses – read more here.
Support, advice and help are available, from the Government, from the insolvency and restructuring profession, from professional and trade associations, and from charities. The most important first step is to seek professional advice if you need it.
If you are worried about your or your business's financial situation, you can seek advice from an insolvency practitioner or a restructuring expert. R3's "Find a member" can help put you in touch with a qualified, professional source of advice near you. Just enter the name of your town, and hit "search".
The lists below are divided into "general", "business", and "individual" categories. Members of the insolvency and restructuring profession should see this list of advice, information and resources.
