The Scottish Technical Committee deals with the issues of general importance and significance to the profession as they relate to Scotland, keeping under review UK, Scottish Parliament and EU legislation, prospective legislation and other matters relating to insolvency law and practice.
The Committee's remit primarily is to consider technical matters. In support of R3's General Technical Committee ("GTC"), the Committee reviews technical materials produced by GTC for relevance/application under Scottish jurisdiction to support members, subscribers and students. These include, but are not limited to, technical bulletins, technical alerts and general guidance.
The Committee is multi-disciplinary and has a good spread of representation, both geographically and in terms of size of practice, including current practitioners, solicitors, academics and others working within the insolvency profession.
