The General Technical Committee ("GTC") deals with issues of general importance and significance to the profession, keeping under review all UK and EU legislation, prospective legislation and other matters relating to insolvency law and practice. GTC contributes to R3's position at the forefront of insolvency practice, producing technical materials to support members, subscribers and students including technical bulletins, technical alerts and general guidance.

GTC supports other R3 committees and staff by providing necessary technical expertise. The Committee is multi-disciplinary and has a good spread of representation, both geographically and in terms of size of practice, including current practitioners, solicitors, academics and others working within the insolvency profession.
