The Association of Business Recovery Professionals

Welcome to the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (trading as R3) website. If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which, together with our privacy policy govern R3's relationship with you in relation to this website.

The term 'R3' is the trading name of The Association of Business Recovery Professionals. The term 'Association of Business Recovery Professionals' or 'R3' or 'we' refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is at R3, 3rd Floor (East), Clerkenwell House, 67 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1R 5BL. Our charity registration number is 2553435. R3 (word and logo) is a registered trademark. The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website or services.

1.      Use of this website

The information on this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice. It does not purport to constitute legal or professional advice and should not be taken as a definitive statement of the law.

R3 Membership

4.        Membership

The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Membership of R3 must be renewed annually. Renewals notices will be issued to all current members in November of each year. Individuals may join R3 at any time throughout the year. In such circumstances membership will be backdated to the start of the current quarter and charged accordingly. Membership application forms may be downloaded from the R3 website.

Payment for membership may be made via credit card or by cheques made payable to 'Association of Business Recovery Professionals' or 'R3'.  Membership applications will be processed within two working days and an invoice issued. Following payment a receipt will be issued within two working days if requested.

5.        Cooling off period

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you may cancel your membership application at any time within 14 working days, beginning on the day after you submitted your payment. In this case you will receive a full refund of the price paid. Please note that to cancel your membership during the cooling off period you must inform us in writing to; Membership officer, R3, 3rd Floor (East), Clerkenwell House, 67 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1R 5BL or by emailing [email protected].

6.        Cancellation of membership

If a member of R3 wishes to resign his or her membership during the year, they should contact the Membership section of R3 by emailing [email protected] or in writing to; Membership Officer, R3, 3rd Floor (East), Clerkenwell House, 67 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1R 5BL. If membership is cancelled during the year this will not give rise to a refund. Membership of R3 cannot be transferred to another person during the year.

7.        Membership refund policy

A refund of a member's fee will be provided in the following circumstances:

-          Overpayment

-          Applicant is found to be ineligible.

-          Request for cancellation received during cooling off period.

Refunds will be made by payment direct to the credit card used to make the initial payment, by BACS or by cheque posted to the members' provided address. R3 aims to provide refunds within 30 days of the refund request being authorised.

 

R3 regional events and courses

8.        Regional events and courses bookings

Bookings may be made on-line through the R3 website www.r3.org.uk. All event, courses and conference bookings must be paid by credit card through the R3 website at the time of booking. In exceptional circumstances R3 may agree to raise an invoice for a booking. Such agreement may be sought by contacting the events team in advance of the event. It is up to the discretion of R3 to allow a delegate to pay by invoice.

For any invoices raised there is a payment term of 14 days from the date of issue of that invoice, subject to all invoices being settled in full prior to the event. Registrations received within 14 days of the commencement of the event will be required to be settled in full prior to the event. Failure to make payment as required may result in cancellation of registration.

Please note your place is not reserved until a payment confirmation has been sent. Confirmation of a place will be issued via email on receipt of a completed booking form and full payment having been made. 

 A VAT receipt will be issued by email upon full payment. Payments may be made by credit card.

Delegate substitutions are permitted but a supplement will be charged where there is a difference in membership category.

All delegates are required to pay in full before attendance at an event or course.

9.                  Regional events and courses refund policy

Refunds will only be issued in the following circumstances:

-          Overpayment

-          Applicant is found to be ineligible.

-          Error in booking which is immediately notified to [email protected].

Refunds will be made by payment direct to the credit card used to make the initial payment. R3 aims to provide refunds within 30 days of the refund request being authorised.

If you wish to cancel a course or attendance at an event you must notify [email protected]  immediately. Where a course or an event booking is cancelled for reasons other than those listed above R3 will issue a credit note. Credit notes will only be issued at the discretion of R3 and are only valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

No reasons will be given for non-attendance on the day.

 

R3 conferences

10.  Conferences bookings

Bookings may be made on-line through the R3 website www.r3.org.uk  .  A VAT receipt will be issued by email upon full payment having been made. Payments may be made by credit card. To apply, early bird bookings must be paid for in full before the expiration of the early bird offer.

All delegates are required to pay in full before attendance at the conference.

11.              Conferences refund policy

If you wish to cancel a conference booking you must notify [email protected] immediately. Where a conference booking is cancelled for reasons other than those listed above R3 will issue a credit note. Cancelations may only be made where notification is made in writing or by email more than 14 working days prior to the date of the conference.

Credit notes will only be issued at the discretion of R3 and are only valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

No refunds will be given for non-attendance on the day.

R3 Webinars

12.              Webinar bookings

Webinar access authorisation is unique to the delegate and should not be forwarded on to third parties. Unauthorised access will incur a fee of £50 plus VAT per unregistered delegate.

The materials and webinar recordings are for use by the registered delegate only and should not be forwarded onto third parties. Responsibility for the confidentiality of webinar registration information and materials issued by R3 lies with the registered delegate and purchaser.

Webinar participation requires your operating system to meet the minimum system requirements, available to view here http://support.citrixonline.com/webinar/all_files/G2W010003. Participants are also required to accept an 'External Protocol request' to run and launch the session. Please note that you may require administrator privileges on your computer to be able to manually install software. Prior to registration it is the delegate's responsibility to ensure that their technology is compatible with R3's systems.

Bookings may be made on-line through the R3 website www.r3.org.uk, by post using an R3 booking form or through the R3 E-Store http://estore.r3.org.uk. Payments may be made by credit card or by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to 'Association of Business Recovery Professionals' or 'R3'.

Access codes will be emailed upon receipt of full payment.

13.              Webinars refund policy

If you wish to cancel a webinar booking you must notify [email protected] immediately. Credit notes will only be issued if cancellations are received in writing no less than five working days prior to the running of the webinar. No credit notes will be issued if an access code has been sent to the purchaser.

 

R3 DVDs

14.              DVDs

DVDs can be purchased on-line through the R3 website www.r3.org.uk or by contacting [email protected]. Orders will be processed within 14 days of an order being received however DVDs will not be dispatched until payment has been received in full. Orders cannot be cancelled once the DVDs have been dispatched. Refunds will only be available if the DVD issued is found to be faulty. Such faults must be immediately notified to R3 by email [email protected]
