R3 is the trade association for the UK’s insolvency, restructuring, advisory, and turnaround professionals. We represent insolvency practitioners, lawyers, turnaround and restructuring experts, students, and others in the profession.
In 2022, the Government announced a review of the Personal Insolvency Framework. Following a consultation, which ran from July to October 2022, the Insolvency Service published a summary of responses and next steps in August 2023, which committed to a further consultation on a reformed framework. In June 2025, they published an update on their progress towards developing this new framework.
