Rachel Bassett
Director, Lambert Smith Hampton 

Rachel joined Lambert Smith Hampton’s Welsh offices in 2011 as a graduate surveyor having previous undertaking a placement year in the Management team in London in 2007. Her primary role to undertake recovery work means she has over 12 years experience in the insolvency and asset advisory department. Rachel is a member of NARA and qualified as a Registered Property Receiver in 2015. Since this she has been appointed as a Joint Receiver over a large mix of assets across the South West of England and Wales. Highlights include a buy to let portfolio of 24 houses across South Wales, a part building residential development in Gloucester and the sale of an industrial portfolio in Bristol. As well as work as an LPA Receiver, Rachel undertakes advice work in relation to properties involved in recovery scenarios; from initial valuation and Strategy option reports to fulfilling the sale and agency role. Rachel now spends her time between the Bristol, Exeter and Wales offices overseeing the South West and Wales team and undertaking her role in these areas.

Out of work Rachel enjoys spending time with her young daughter which often involves beach and woodland walks with their 3 dogs. She is involved in the local amateur dramatics group where she assists on the weekend and has recently decided to start learning the saxophone following a few years of playing the clarinet as a child.
