Louis Doyle KC - Barrister, Kings Chambers

Louis Doyle KC was called to the Bar in 1996 since when he has developed a specialist practice in insolvency (personal and corporate) and company law. He is a tenant at Kings Chambers, Manchester and 9, Stone Buildings, Lincoln’s Inn and was appointed Queen’s (now King’s) Counsel in 2020. Louis has appeared in about fifty reported cases in the insolvency field and is recognised as a Band 1 market leader for insolvency work in the two leading directories. He enjoys novel and technically difficult cases and is presently representing Boris Becker in seeking to conclude his bankruptcy. Louis is the original author (2005) and co-author of what is now Doyle, Keay & Curl: Annotated Insolvency Legislation (12^th edn, 2024, LexisNexis) in addition to which, since 2010, he has been a contributing editor of the leading looseleaf, Gore-Browne on Companies. In 2023 he took up a part-time appointment to the advisory panel of an offshore litigation funder.
