Kat Burke, European Regional Director, IWIRC

Kat is a dual qualified UK / US restructuring lawyer and has represented debtors, creditors and equity holders in large complex cross-border cases. She currently serves as European Regional Director of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and is a delegate to the U.N.’s UNCITRAL Working Group V (insolvency) meetings.  At the start of her legal career, she clerked for the Honourable James M. Peck at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York during the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy. She has also served overseas in the US Army and is a decorated military veteran.
