Celso De Azevedo has over 20 years’ experience in complex and high value re/insurance, cyber, civil fraud, digital asset recovery, data theft and commercial disputes.

Having worked for over 23 years as an international litigation solicitor and partner in international UK and US law firms based in the City of London, Celso has extensive expertise in complex multi-jurisdictional arbitrations and court proceedings worldwide. Celso is qualified as a New York Attorney and has a specialist practice in crypto-asset recovery, cyber extortion and data theft injunctive relief, including injunctions against publication of stolen data and freezing stolen crypto-assets.

He is the author of "Cyber Risks Insurance” (Sweet & Maxwell, 2nd Ed) and "Walmsley on Business Interruption Insurance" (2nd Ed). Celso is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a panellist to serve as arbitrator and mediator of FedArb, a prestigious ADR institution in the US and of ARIAS (UK).

Celso is a founding committee member and current President of the Cyber Insurance Association and past-President of the London Business Interruption Association. Celso is fluent is Portuguese and Spanish.
