Alex is a Legal Director in the Finance & Restructuring group. Alex’s practice covers all aspects of national and cross-border financial restructuring and insolvency matters, acting for the full range of stakeholders, including, debtors, creditors, sponsors, directors and insolvency officeholders.

His core practice involves delivering innovative solutions to maximise value for stakeholders in cross-border restructurings of complex high value capital structures. Alex has advised debtor side on many of the leading cross-border UK schemes of arrangement including Tele Columbus, TORM and Russian Standard Bank as well as creditor side on the first cross-class cram down under the Deep Ocean restructuring plan. Alex has experience across a wide range of industry sectors with a focus on transportation, energy and financial services. Alex has extensive experience working across a variety of jurisdictions including the US and most of Europe as well as some Asian jurisdictions.

Alex has written extensively for various publications including Recovery, International Corporate Rescue, Marine Money and Financier Worldwide as well as the practice notes for LexisNexis on schemes of arrangement.

Alex is a member of the ILA, TMA, INSOL and INSOL Europe.

Alex joined Eversheds in 2021 having previously trained and qualified into the capital markets team at a leading US law firm before spending 10 years in the restructuring team at another leading US law firm in London.
