Jane Evans

Jane is an experienced covenant adviser with a background in insolvency and restructuring. She joined EY in 2019 from another big four firm and has more than ten years' experience as a specialist covenant adviser, across a range of clients and situations.

Jane advises trustees of some of the largest and most complex UK pension schemes on issues including scheme funding valuations, monitoring, transactions and negotiations.  She led advice to the Mothercare pension scheme trustees through the group’s restructuring, with significant Pensions Regulator and Pension Protection Fund involvement.

Jane is a leading contributor on the new Pension Schemes Act and advises corporates, lenders and trustees on the implications for restructurings involving defined benefit pension schemes.

She is Chair of the Society of Pension Professionals’ Covenant Committee and founding ally member of the pension industry’s LBGTQ+ network, O:pen.
