Louise Durkan - Partner, Special Situations M&A, Deloitte LLP

Louise Durkan is a Partner at Deloitte LLP and co leads the UK Special Situations M&A team, providing a full suite of sell-side and buy-side services, advising on non-standard M&A transactions including accelerated M&A , non-core, underperforming and/or complex corporate carve outs. Louise has significant experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders including public and private organisations, chairs & c-suite, investors, PE, private shareholders and trustees. Typical projects include analysis of options, accelerated mandates, business disposals strategies as part of our wider performance improvement projects, as well as advising on turnaround and restructuring strategies.

With over 25 years’ experience of working with multi-national corporates, mid-market privately owned businesses and private equity, across a variety of industries and sectors including not for profit. Louise’s clients benefit from her extensive experience of advising stakeholders in stressed and distressed situations (principally corporates, directors, lenders, investors and PE) and in assessing their options and then implementing the optimal solution. Louise is JIEB qualified and a licensed insolvency practitioner. She is also a national council member for R3.
