Julian Cahn

Julian Cahn is a partner of Stephenson Harwood LLP specialising in contentious insolvency and dispute resolution work. In relation to both corporate and personal insolvency he advises insolvency practitioners, creditors, debtors and other stakeholders in the insolvency process. Julian also has extensive dispute resolution experience across a broad range of industries and sectors, including acting for both claimants and defendants in investment and retail banking disputes as well as in professional indemnity matters where both large sums of money and professional reputations have been at stake.

Julian’s recent practice highlights include: acting for the Liquidators of Rangers FC on several sets of high-profile multi million pound proceedings in both England and Scotland; acting for the liquidators of various companies connected with the collapsed Dawnay Day conglomerate; and, on the personal insolvency side, advising the Trustees in Bankruptcy of an oligarch - engaging in a global asset tracing exercise and litigating over a multi-million pound asset.
