New venue

The 2018 Forum will take place at a new venue, Heythrop Park Resort, set in 440 acres of quintessential English countryside. Parts of the luxury estate date back to 1710 and the resort boasts an 18 hole golf course, health club & spa together with state of the art conference facilities. The resort is situated in Enstone, 30 minutes by road from Oxford and Banbury train stations.

Uniquely designed programme and expert speakers

A host of speakers have been selected for their expertise and specialisms in small or medium sized businesses to keep you fully informed of recent professional and technical developments essential to the SPG community. Benefit from hearing direct from representatives of The Insolvency Service, the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), HMRC, the Redundancy Payments Office (RPO) and the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

Keynote speaker

We are delighted to announce our keynote speaker will be Will Greenwood MBE, one of England’s greatest ever rugby players. Will's rugby career spanned 11 years and 55 international caps, including England’s World Cup victory in 2003. Will initially studied Economics and worked on the trading floor at Midland Global Markets (now HSBC). His unusual career has given him a unique insight into the themes that permeate both fields.

Networking events

As always, the Forum offers a variety of excellent networking opportunities and networking events allowing delegates to connect with contacts old and new, speakers and sponsors.
Guests arriving on Wednesday have the opportunity to attend the welcome drinks reception and get to know their fellow delegates before the conference begins.
We have introduced a speed networking event this year, taking place on Thursday evening. Feedback from this event at the Annual Conference was overwhelmingly positive and delegates said they spoke to people they wouldn't normally, widening their networks, and it was a great ice breaker. Don't miss it!
Delegates will also enjoy a pre-dinner drinks reception followed by a sit-down meal on the evening of 1 November.
Please note pre-conference accommodation and non-residential packages can only be booked via email.
