Jessica is a modern commercial chancery barrister at New Square Chambers, with particular experience of and expertise in insolvency. She is ranked in Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 for Restructuring/Insolvency, and in Legal 500 for Commercial Litigation, and is variously described in the directories as a “rising star”, “exceptionally bright and conscientious” and “very approachable”. Her notable recent cases include appearing on behalf of the successful appellant in Bell v Ide, and preventing the winding-up of Swindon Town FC. Jessica was previously appointed to the AG’s C Panel. During her five-year appointment, she gained significant experience of directors’ disqualification cases, in addition to regularly acting on behalf of HMRC in insolvency matters. Alongside her busy practice, Jessica is passionately committed to improving social mobility at the Bar.
