Hayley is a Legal Director in Shoosmiths’ London office, co-leading the firm’s contentious insolvency practice within the Corporate Restructuring and Advisory team. She advises a broad range of stakeholders — including companies, office holders, financial institutions, and creditors — across all insolvency processes, with particular expertise in cross-border and complex contentious insolvency matters. Hayley has been noted in Legal 500 as “Approachable, commercial and responsive” Hayley’s contentious matters include: Successfully leading the team on the contentious aspects of the Madagascar Oil Limited Part 26A Restructuring Plan; Acting for the directors of Great Annual Savings Company in a heavily contested Part 26A Restructuring Plan; Advising the opposing creditors in the successful challenge to a proposed scheme of arrangement by Sunbird Business Services Limited involving $15m of debt
