Defne Tasman is a Ph.D. Researcher at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, focusing on mediation in EU and national preventive restructuring frameworks. She is a Consultant to the World Bank Group and an IMI-Qualified Mediator. She serves as a Board Member of the INSOL International Early Researcher Academics (ERA) and the INSOL Europe Younger Academics Network of Insolvency Law (YANIL). Defne contributes as a researcher to the World Bank– International Insolvency Institute (III) project on Gender Inclusion. She is also the co-Chair of the III project on Confidentiality in Corporate Insolvency. She has several publications on the European Insolvency Regulation, the EU Insolvency Directive and the Preventive Restructuring Directive.
