Claire is partner in the team and works on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring. As has been the case for a number of years Claire has either led or played a key role in many of our more significant matters as can be seen by her involvement in the work highlights. Claire has a wide range of experience and her practice involves advising in relation to complex restructuring, formal insolvencies (including administrations and company voluntary arrangements), insolvency acquisitions and directors' duties advice all across a range of sectors. Claire's reputation means that she secures instructions from insolvency practitioners, clearing banks, alternative lenders and private equity houses both in and outside of the region. Claire takes the lead in the team on lender-led restructuring and is usually engaged by lenders when matters are particularly challenging which has resulted in her working on large mandates for mainstream high street lenders and also alternative lender clients. Claire also has significant experience dealing with distressed real estate matters whether that be advising in relation to high value properties or large property portfolios and advising in connection with disposals and acquisitions Claire also has particular experience of leading on restructuring matters connected to defined benefit pension schemes which involves providing specialist advice to pension trustees and employers.
