    The last two years have seen a number of significant reported wrongful trading cases, from Ralls Builders to the Guernsey case of Carlyle Capital (thought to be the largest civil case in Guernsey history). In each of them, the liquidators’ claims have failed. Adam Deacock of Radcliffe Chambers will review the recent cases, extract the lessons that practitioners should learn from them and discuss the circumstances in which it may be advisable for a liquidator to bring proceedings on this basis.
