The South West & Wales Committee are delighted to invite you to an evening virtual event focusing on Coronavirus (COVID-19) issues.

Mark Cullingford from Thrings LLP will be considering the recent developments and (subject to publication) the proposed legislation foreshadowed in the announcement by Business Secretary, Alok Sharma on 28 March 2020 and a Commons Briefing Paper published in 31 March 2020

Andrew Sheridan from FRP Advisory will be considering the practical issues for Administrators appointed to advance a “Rescue Administration”, the involvement of directors in that process and use of the Consent Protocol proposed as a precedent to permit directors to exercise management powers with Administrators’ consent under paragraph 64 Schedule B1 Insolvency Act 1986 and his recent experience in COVID-19 related cases including the ‘furloughing’ directions in the Carluccio’s Administration.

Ben Luxford, Technical Manager of R3 will also provide an update on further or anticipated political and technical developments
