The North East Region are pleased to invite you to their Regional Meeting on 1 October 2025 kindly hosted by Ward Hadaway LLP.
Our speaker is Stefan Ramel, Barrister, Guildhall Chambers. Stefan Ramel will unpack the complex interplay between the (Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) and the UK sanctions regime with insolvency law. With a focus on how restraint and confiscation orders interact with insolvency proceedings, exploring key statutory provisions, and practical challenges. The session also covers the evolving sanctions landscape, including in particular the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.
There will be plenty of opportunities to network both before and after the update and drinks will be provided.
