What to Expect

This course is designed for junior administrators with 0 to 3 years’ experience and other insolvency-related professionals, including junior solicitors.

The R3 Practical Introduction to Insolvency Work Series provides essential training to help junior staff develop core skills for insolvency practice. Drawing on the expertise of leading professionals working with current legislation and recent case law, the series combines real-life case studies with interactive exercises to build practical understanding.

Each day is intended to give delegates greater context and a deeper understanding of how insolvency practices and processes are applied in the workplace. The series is supported by detailed course notes and podcasts covering the technical framework for each type of insolvency procedure.

Day 1 focuses on personal insolvency, including bankruptcies, IVAs and DROs. Topics include IVA decision-making and voting processes, practical investigation techniques, IPA/IPOs, antecedent transactions, the realisation of the matrimonial home, and pensions.
