Insolvency Service – A Policy Update

In this session we will hear from the Insolvency Service of the Secretary of State’s current plans for a single regulator, the outcome of the consultation on the operation of the insolvency rules, on creditor engagement and the idea to introduce a de minimis fee for IP appointments, update on the uptake of the new restructuring tools and the trends in the disqualification vetting process.

Part 26A for SMEs: What You Need to Consider

The reported cases so far on Part 26A have all been in relation to large companies. How can those cases be applied to SME’s? How would the procedure work? The session will involve the discussion of an example case where the Part 26A could be used for an SME to seek to rescue the company and avoid a formal insolvency procedure.
