Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 – A Discussion of the Corporate Governance Changes Introduced by the Act

Outline:

The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act received Royal Assent on 26th June 2020 and introduces the biggest reforms to the UK’s insolvency framework for almost 20 years.

We are pleased to welcome Nick Skates, Head of Corporate Transparency, BEIS, at our joint virtual event on 30th June to talk about the corporate governance changes being introduced by the Act with some support from BEIS subject experts. He will be joined by Peter Swabey, Policy and Research Director, Chartered Governance Institute, and Mike Metcalf, FCA, KPMG and chair of ICAEW’s Company Law Committee

This will be followed by a further joint virtual event on 7th July where Paul Bannister, Head of Policy at the Insolvency Service, will be talking about the insolvency aspects of the new Act.
