In the recent past, cybercrime has rarely been far from the headlines. In September 2017 alone, Deloitte, Wholefoods, Equifax and even the US Securities and Exchange Commission reported cyber breaches, which have led to the loss of personal, commercial and sensitive data. More recently, a significant data breach of British Airways' security systems was reported to have affected 380,000 customers.
This pre-recorded webinar will explore the various forms of cybercrime; the effects a cyber-attack can have on a business; relevant current and future law; and how the law - both civil and criminal - can help the victim of cybercrime seek redress. Alan Ward from Stephenson Harwood will walk through a case study, based on a recent case in which Stephenson Harwood were able to trace and recover the proceeds of a cyber-attack for a major global corporate client.
