Richard Dillea

Richard Dillea is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLP in Manchester.

He brings over 20 years of experience in restructuring tax. Mr. Dillea’s notable assignments include a hive down sale of a haulage company; a group restructuring that preserved value in a construction company; the restructuring of syndicated debt for a manufacturing business; and reorganizing the U.K. operations within a global group. He has worked with clients across various industries including manufacturing, transportation and leisure, and construction.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Dillea initiated and developed the restructuring tax specialism within a Top 10 firm, leading that team in the U.K. and liaising with international colleagues on cross-border assignments. Previously, he spent 25 years with Big Four and Top 10 professional services firms, specializing in restructuring tax. Mr. Dillea earned a bachelor’s degree in physics from The University of Edinburgh.

He is a Chartered Tax Advisor and has been an active member on the R3 tax committee
