Chetan R. Kamat - Executive Director, Goldman Sachs

Chetan Kamat is the Head of the Workout & Restructuring team within Credit for EMEA & APAC at Goldman Sachs based in London. His team manages Goldman’s stressed & distressed loans and derivative positions across the capital structure (senior secured, mezzanine, PIK as well as equity) in multiple industries and restructuring regimes. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in his current role in February 2021, Chetan spent over 10 years at Citigroup, mainly in the Restructuring/Workout team in New York and London and around 3 years at UBS focussed on loan leveraged underwriting and special situation transactions. Prior to his career in banking, Chetan worked as a software engineer at Infosys Technologies in India and the US, advising clients such as Cisco Systems and Lucent Technologies. Chetan earned a BE in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), India and an MBA in Finance from Duke University – Fuqua School of Business, USA.
