Henry Phillips is a barrister at South Square with a busy commercial, insolvency and restructuring practice.
Henry has acted in many of the largest and most significant corporate failures in recent years, including Lehman Brothers International (Europe), Carillion, Bulb Energy and China Evergrande. He regularly advises and appears in connection with complex cross-border schemes of arrangement and is frequently instructed in the Cayman Islands and the BVI. Henry also has substantial experience in financial and commercial work, including complex fraud, and has particular expertise in securitisations and the ISDA Master Agreement (1992 and 2002 forms).
Henry is ranked as a leading junior (Tier 1) in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners (UK, Global). He is a co-author of Company Voluntary Arrangements Law and Practice (OUP, 2022).
