Michael Commins - Head of Official Receivers’ Property and Distribution, Insolvency Service

Michael has 20 years’ experience in insolvency and worked in a variety of roles before becoming Official Receiver for Ipswich & Cambridge in 2016. He has experience in project delivery and policy work but a particular interest in investigating corporate misconduct.  

He spent 18 months working on the Carillion liquidation before then returning to East Anglia in 2019. Since 2020 he has also been head of the Official Receivers’ Property and Distribution Teams.  He is responsible for dealing with both new and aged property assets from across the country as well as distributing funds to creditors from ORS realisations.
