Paul Wainwright
Director, Bounce Back Loan Scheme, British Business Bank

Paul Wainwright is the Director of the Bounce Back Loan Scheme at the British Business Bank having joined the organisation in October 2020. Previously he spent 32 years in commercial banking roles building relationships with customers at a local level by understanding their businesses and the local economic landscape.  As part of his career to date, Paul led a national Business Credit Function during the financial crisis and subsequently led a team of advisers to provide borrowers with additional support to improve cashflows and mitigate ongoing risks as part of the economic recovery. More recently he was responsible for Customer Banking across Sheffield City Region for Yorkshire Bank whilst also creating partnerships between the public and private sectors across the area.
