Julia Marshall is a Senior Director in the Restructuring & Insolvency team at Alvarez & Marsal in London. She brings more than 10 years of experience supporting clients in stressed and distressed situations across the mid-market and complex cross-border and international cases. 

Ms. Marshall has worked across a range of industries and sectors, including retail, consumer, travel and leisure, real assets,automotive, TMT, financial services (including FinTech and Crypto & blockchain) and many others both in the UK and overseas. 

Ms. Marshall has strong expertise in financial restructuring, contingency planning, accelerated mergers and acquisitions, independent business reviews, pre-lend reviews, cash flow reviews, options analysis, EPMs, going concern reporting, pension restructuring advice and insolvency work. She works closely with her clients and key stakeholders such as top management, board of directors, shareholders, mainstream and alternative lenders, investors, other professional advisors, regulators and government organizations, to achieve a successful outcome and preserve value. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Marshall served as an appointment-taking Director at PwC, where she worked on some high profile and well-known cases.

Ms. Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham. She is a Qualified Chartered

Accountant (ACA, ICAEW) and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner (ICAEW).
