Sam is an Insolvency & Turnaround solicitor and partner at Wedlake Bell. He specialises in contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, in particular advising office-holders, lenders, companies, directors, creditors and other stakeholders in distressed situations. He has worked on a wide range of restructuring assignments across many industries, including hotels, leisure parks, retailers, financial advisers, insurance and mortgage brokers. Sam’s contentious work has focused on bringing claims against directors and other culpable parties available under the Insolvency Act 1986, Companies Act 2006 and common law, principally acting for insolvency office-holders but also individual creditors, as well as applications for directions in complex trusts and regulatory matters.
