Nick Skates is the Head of Corporate Transparency in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Nick has a varied portfolio of work, including Company Law Frameworks, which has led to his leadership on corporate governance measures in the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Bill. Nick also leads his team in the reform of the companies register and the Registration of Overseas Entities Bill and is the departmental lead on economic crime.    

Nick has nearly 20 years of experience working in the Civil Service and private sector in a variety of areas, including reform of the electricity market and pension reform.
