Complex IVAs for traders and professionals Self employed contribute significantly to the UK’s economy, up from £305BN in 2019 to £331BN in 2023. SME’s account for 99.9% of the business population (some 5.6M businesses). But its tough with huge uncertainty over income, increasing costs and lenders always insisting on personal guarantees. It’s vital our rescue culture can help these people when they get into difficulty. Approval of Complex IVA’s as a percentage of total IVA’s approved is only around 4 to 7%. Let’s take a look at the challenges IP’s face with taking on these type of cases and what improvements can be made.
