In this interactive session an IP and two barristers will enact a court scene. The aim is to provide practitioners with an insight into being cross examined on their witness statement.  We will all have had some exposure to legal proceedings in our capacity as insolvency practitioners, but a very small number of us will have actually stepped into a witness box and had the pleasure of being cross examined by a skilled and tenacious barrister.  This session aims to share with attendees what it is like to have their application and evidence forensically tested in a Court

In this session, we will discuss some of the core principals and challenges that can arise regarding valuation issues and methods of disposal. We will provide context and discuss the importance of accurate valuation as well as provide a brief summary of the office-holders responsibilities. Using examples of unusual / trickier  assets, we will also touch on identifying assets, valuation issues, marketing strategies and their legal implications.
