The R3 Southern & Thames Valley Region are pleased to invite you to their Virtual Technical Breakfast, sponsored by Isadore Goldman and Manolete Partners on 19 March 2021 8.15am – 10.30am

It has been a while since we were last able to organise one of our breakfast seminar and networking sessions and we have been keen to find a virtual format to allow us to run them again. I am delighted that Isadore Goldman and Manolete Partners have stepped in to do this. In addition to our two speakers, Stephen Baister (Manolete Partners) and Madeleine Jones (South Square Chambers) with improvements to the Zoom platform we are now able to offer networking in the breakout rooms before and after the breakfast seminar.

Stephen Baister will set out the general principles of office holders as fiduciaries and look at some of the legal and practical issues that arise as a result when contemplating embarking on litigation and how to finance it. Whilst many litigants using litigation finance will be troubled only by commercial considerations, there are additional considerations which apply to insolvency cases brought by office-holders. Our second speaker, Madeleine Jones, will provide a legal update on a recent key insolvency cases. 

This session will be FREE to R3 Members and £15 for non members. It will also be opened up to the South West and Wales, Southern, London and South East, Midlands and Eastern regions.
