Commercial Property Liabilities in the ‘New Normal’

LIVE WEBINAR. Should landlords be expected to share COVID losses or is this a step too far? Where should the line be drawn? Our expert panel consider the options for landlords as well as for IPs dealing with landlords.

Outline:

Should landlords be expected to share COVID losses or is this a step too far? Where should the line be drawn? Property owners have faced a torrid time in recent months and face increasing demands for lease terms to be ripped up and renegotiated including provision for rent free periods, debt write-off and turnover based rents.

Our expert panel consider the options for landlords as well as for IPs dealing with landlords. Will we see renewed use of statutory demands and winding-up petitions? What about the new insolvency procedures - moratoria and restructuring plans? How will the treatment of property in those procedures compare with CVAs and trading administrations? And what about the impact of HMRC preferential status?

These issues go far beyond the High Street retail sector and the headline cases, they can and do affect the whole business and insolvency spectrum. We hope you will join us for what we are sure will be a lively and informative debate.
