The Care Home sector has been under financial pressure for many years. A combination of cuts to local authority budgets, increased gearing in ownership models and rises in complexity of care needs for service user coupled with the need to ensure that staff are trained to the highest possible level to reassure the Care Quality Commission and relatives that high class levels of care are observed has all meant that under-performing homes have entered insolvency processes in increasing numbers.

This webinar will explore what hurdles an IP has to deal with when taking an appointment over a care home. Our speakers will also discuss how Care homes have been in the spotlight during the pandemic and the thorny issue of when to close home and how to do that.
