Blair Leahy

Blair joined Chambers in January 2012 having previously practised from South Square chambers (formerly 3-4 South Square).

Her practice involves advising and appearing as an advocate in a range of commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on international and domestic corporate insolvency law.

Blair has been recommended as a leading junior counsel for insolvency and corporate recovery work in Chambers UK every year since 2006 and has acted in relation to a number of major corporate restructurings and insolvencies including: Lehman Brothers (for the US Trustee of Lehman Brothers Inc), Nortel (for a counter-party), New Cap Reinsurance Corporation (for a counter-party), Regent Inns (for the administrators), Zavvi (for the administrators and liquidators), Madoff (for the English provisional liquidators), Woolworths (for a counter-party), Waterford Wedgwood (for the English administrators), PRG Powerhouse (for the landlords), T&N (for the trustees of the T&N Retirement Benefits Scheme (1989)) and BCCI (for the English liquidators).
