Alastair Lomax

Alastair joined TLT in June 2014 and is a Partner in the firm's Banking and Restructuring team. Alastair specialises in corporate debt restructurings, turnarounds and insolvency. He heads up TLT's Restructuring practice in Manchester.

He has over 14 years' experience in leading teams advising on a diverse range of restructuring projects, all with the objective of rescuing businesses in financial distress and protecting the interests of their key stakeholders. Recent assignments have involved turning around businesses in the rail, retail and leisure, social care and not-for-profit sectors.

Alastair advises corporates, their directors, lenders and investors on devising and implementing turnaround strategies and contingency planning against insolvency risks. Alastair also advises turnaround specialists and corporates on distressed debt assignments, investments and business acquisitions. He also regularly advises insolvency practitioners on all aspects of formal insolvency assignments, from appointments and business disposals to asset recoveries and exit strategies.

He's a member of leading professional industry bodies R3 and the Insolvency Lawyers' Association. He has also worked closely with R3 and the Institute for Turnaround on member training and development initivaties and speaks at a variety of industry seminars, workshops and other commercial and technical forums.
