Adrian Hyde

R3 President

Adrian joined R3 Council in April 2014 and shortly afterwards joined the ECC Executive and committee.  He has, since February, been the Chair of that committee.

Adrian’s background is that he was in private practice as an insolvency solicitor until 2008. He spent 5 years with Matthew Arnold & Baldwin before moving to Moon Beever in 2006.  In 2008 he made the switch to become a licensed insolvency practitioner and joined Chantrey Vellacott DFK. He is now a partner at CVR, following the merger of Chantrey Vellacott and Moore Stephens.

The bulk of Adrian’s work is larger contentious insolvency, international, and fraud related cases.  He regularly works with government agencies both here and abroad, and for corporate that have suffered losses from the actions of directors, employees, customers and suppliers.  A good example of his experience is his appointment following the collapse the Gibraltar Law firm Marrache & Co.  Since 2010 he has been liquidator and trustee of the estates of the Marrache brothers in Gibraltar.  The firm closed after being raided by the police, following the discovery of the loss of £35m of client account funds through the fraud of the partners.  This gave rise to litigation in Gibraltar, Spain, USA, Israel and the UK.

Outside of insolvency Adrian enjoys walking with his dogs, travelling the world, and being a passenger in a formula 2 sidecar outfit!
