2025 winner: James Martin (In memoriam)  

A former R3 Council member and chair of the R3 Midlands regional committee, James was widely recognised throughout the professional community as a driver of positive change and someone who consistently demonstrated the very best of the profession. James’ son Nick collected the award on his father’s behalf at the R3 Business Lunch 2025.

2025 winner: Charlotte Boatman 

The 2025 Vice President’s Young Professionals Award is awarded to Charlotte Boatman for her stewardship and representation of the R3 new professional community. Charlotte was chair of the New Professional Steering Group from 2023-2025 and represented the interests of younger members on R3 Council.

2026 winner: Jeniffer Gomes da Silva 

The winner of the 2026 Richard Turton award is Jeniffer Gomes da Silva from Albania. Jeniffer is a Partner at Galdino Advogados, one of Brazil’s leading insolvency and restructuring law firms

Jeniffer’s will be writing a paper entitled “Beyond Investment: The Functional Role of Investment Funds in Corporate Reorganization“. Her paper will explore the growing use of investment funds as restructuring tools within judicial reorganisation proceedings, examining how they are being used to facilitate corporate rescue strategies, manage creditor claims, and support innovative restructuring solutions.

Jeniffer is also invited to attend the INSOL Europe Congress in Vilamoura, Portugal on 15-18 October 2026.
