Aaron Luxton is a commercial and insolvency barrister at 3PB Barristers, practising from the Birmingham office and across all of chambers’ locations. He is dual-qualified as a solicitor and barrister, bringing a strong practical perspective to his work with insolvency practitioners and their advisers. Before joining the Bar, Aaron trained and qualified as a solicitor at Shoosmiths LLP, where he gained experience across commercial litigation, corporate restructuring and insolvency. He later practised at DWF LLP as a solicitor-advocate and employed barrister, appearing regularly in the High Court and County Court. Aaron’s practice now focuses on contentious restructuring and insolvency, acting for office-holders, creditors, directors and debtors. He is frequently instructed in relation to winding up petitions and bankruptcy proceedings, applications for administration orders and extensions, validation orders, misfeasance and antecedent transaction claims, and disputes concerning directors’ duties and disqualification. He also advises on insolvency-related commercial disputes, including enforcement of guarantees, security and retention of title issues, and claims arising from corporate restructurings. Aaron is known for his pragmatic, solicitor-friendly approach and his understanding of the commercial and procedural pressures faced by insolvency practitioners. His dual qualification and advocacy background enable him to work closely with solicitors and office-holders to identify proportionate strategies, prepare effective evidence, and present focused applications to the court.
