In this lively debate our panellists will discuss how business rescue could work in the current economic climate, given the impact of Crown secondary preferential status on the availability of finance and HMRC’s stance on business rescue as a key creditor. How can the new CIGA rescue tools operate in practice? Do they give SME’s more realistic options? We also welcome Malcolm Weir from the PPF who will outline the approach he takes to rescue proposals put to the PPF as a key stakeholder which are relevant for other creditors in particular HMRC as preferential and unsecured creditor, and HMT in relation to their involvement with Bounce Back Loans, CBILS and CLBILS.
