Niklas Alvestrand Körling has been working with companies with financial difficulties with matters connected to restructuring, bankruptcy or B&F for over 20 years. He has been with CMS Wistrand since 2012 and since the end of 2022 as managing partner and previously as a board member at the firm. He currently also serves as a board member in the national board responsible for overseeing strategic matters and establishing the overarching framework for the law firm's joint initiatives. Niklas specializes in financing, financial restructurings and insolvency matters and regularly give advice to creditors as well as taking formal appointments as administrator, trustee and liquidator in restructurings, bankruptcies and liquidations within a variety of industries. He has extensive experience in both Swedish and cross-border insolvency proceedings and advising on restructuring, insolvency and creditor protection. Matters have included a formal bankruptcy with continued business of a steel plant and sale of the business which is now fully operational. There has been an over-establishment of padel-courts in Sweden and Niklas has been appointed for 60 padel-companies in bankruptcy located from north to south in Sweden. Right now, he advises creditors in Northvolt’s Swedish law bankruptcy which was initially a US Chapter 11 proceeding.
