Vince is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has around forty years of experience in the construction industry, with around thirty four of these years working in the construction insolvency and restructuring market. Vince comes from a wide and varied professional practice background. His initial five years were principally spent providing traditional Q.S. services within a multi-disciplinary Practice. He also worked for a year on the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport. He then spent almost twenty three years working in a specialist insolvency and Project Monitoring Q.S. Practice, with the last thirteen years being at Partner or Director level. This specialist Practice operated exclusively in the Insolvency, Independent Business Review and Development Monitoring markets for Banks, Financial Institutions and Accountants. During this time, he also had a short secondment into Coopers & Lybrand’s Construction and Property Business Restructuring Team. Prior to joining Leslie Keats in 2017, Vince was head of the Development Monitoring Team at one of the UK’s largest national multi-disciplinary property and infrastructure Companies. He also provided Insolvency and Independent Business Review services. Over the years, Vince has been involved with monitoring a large number of various sized and diverse development projects ranging from as little as £0.25m up to over £100m. These projects have included all types of developments, and for all of the main clearing Banks, as well as for a number of the secondary lenders. He has also overseen a number of surveys and project audits of distressed developments, with build outs where appropriate. Whilst he no longer provides Development Monitoring services, he has occasionally advised financial institutions, when requested, on development monitoring best practice. In addition, at his previous firm, Vince was responsible for a number of successful tender submissions that ensured the inclusion of that firm onto a number of the major Banks’ Development Monitoring panels. Finally, Vince has worked on and overseen many of the major UK Construction insolvencies that have originated principally in London and the South East. He has also completed a number of confidential business reviews of main Contractors, sub-contractors, manufactures and suppliers in the construction industry. Prior to joining Leslie Keats, Vince assisted RICS with the preparation of their Consultant’s Appointment document following a construction insolvency, which was ultimately published in 2019.
