Stefan Ramel is a specialist Insolvency and Commercial barrister. He undertakes litigation and advisory work in all aspects of Insolvency and Commercial litigation work, including Banking & Finance, Company Law, and Professional Negligence. He is noted as a leading junior in the directories and has appeared in over 40 reported cases. He has a particular specialism in cross-border insolvency work and regularly advises lawyers and practitioners in other jurisdictions. His recent insolvency work has included appearing for HMRC in the Waldorf Production restructuring plan case which may be going to the Supreme Court. He is on the Attorney General’s Regional panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown (A Panel). In May 2023, Stefan was appointed a Recorder and he sits in the Crown Court on the Western Circuit.
