George is a commercial barrister specialising in insolvency, tax disputes and professional negligence. Although he has experience across the range of insolvency work, he has a particular interest in cases with overlapping tax and insolvency issues. He has a thriving practice in insolvency and directors’ misfeasance cases arising from failed tax schemes. He also frequently advises insolvency practitioners on the complicated interaction between the tax assessment provisions and the insolvency legislation. George was called to the Bar in 2004 and is recommended as a Leading Junior in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
