Deborah is a commercial litigator with particular expertise in restructuring and insolvency law, as well as financial services disputes. She has extensive experience acting on complex and high-value matters for a broad range of clients, including insolvency practitioners, directors, debtors, and creditors. Her work spans various sectors and involves both domestic and cross-border disputes and insolvencies. Known for her strategic approach and deep understanding of contentious insolvency issues, Deborah regularly advises on matters involving serious allegations, multi-jurisdictional elements, and significant financial implications.Deborah holds Bachelor’s degrees in both Law and Psychology from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and is admitted to practise as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court in New Zealand. Her legal career has included roles at one of New Zealand’s largest corporate law firms, a specialist litigation firm in London, and as an associate in the restructuring team at Eversheds Sutherland, where she focused on insolvency matters with a contentious element. She joined Enyo Law in May 2021. Her recent experience includes acting in the high-profile administration of Force India Formula One Team Limited, the liquidation of Allied Wallet Limited (an FCA-regulated e-money provider), and pursuing complex claims on behalf of a foreign government agency seeking over USD 2 billion in relief.
